“ If you are reading this, then you are The Movement”

Words from the Several States, The Movement part 25a
In memory of James Kenzie
It is very important that you know the context of when I started this movement writing, because I feel a great urgency to write about the World War II generation. I started this column 25 minutes after leaving my friend Polly, at her father’s funeral. Mr. James Kenzie, World War II veteran. I never got to meet Polly’s father and that will always be my loss.
In a perfect world, where I have the time, I would set up a website and write nothing but WWII columns and interview surviving veterans. Maybe that can be a side project I develop when book sales increase.
It is now 2009 and America is rapidly losing the greatest generation.
For everything I have written about fiat money and what we need to do as a nation, I ask each and every one of you to do the following.
Listen to their stories. If you happen to meet a WWII veteran, take the time and let them tell you their stories. Let them tell you every detail, no matter how small. Sit there and listen to them 15 times in a row, if need be.
I have written before about my favorite segment of American and World history, which is WWII. I could never read enough as a kid, or even now as an adult. Thankfully my parents, aunts and uncles were from the WWII generation, so I got to hear many stories.
I have spent every second I can, listening to WWII veterans tell their stories. It is the only direct connection my generation will ever have to such a transcendent point in human history.
I am a Patriot and proudly proclaim it from the mountain tops.
Patriotism isn’t some nice quaint little political theory. It is not something you learn or something that can be taught. Patriotism is something you feel burning inside your soul, about America.
If I could use just one word to describe the World War II generation, it would be “Patriotism.”
America’s fierce patriotism not to see the empire of Japan make the Pacific their personal lake, was how we defeated them. America’s fierce patriotism to not see National Socialism engulf all of Europe, and eventually the world, was how we defeated Nazi Germany and Hitler.
Fierce Patriotism is when you are willing to take up arms, and defend your nation from all threats, foreign and domestic. The very finest example will always be the WWII generation.
America does have serious enemies as I quill this column. America has serious problems here at home, as the government and it’s power spiral increasingly out of control.
There is only one thing that will pull us through, Patriotism.
You see, our enemies can hit our builds, attack our cities and murder innocent people.
They cannot stop our freedom, because it is based on a people who have sworn allegiance to an idea. An idea that we the people are individuals who control our lives, our government and our destiny.
You cannot stop the idea of freedom and patriotism.
Americans, we saved the world from tyranny in the 1940s, and we will rise up through Patriotism, and save the world yet again.
Though my friend Polly lost her father, who was called home to be with his Lord and God, his Patriotism remains the ever breathing gift. The gift his generation gave to the entire world during our darkest hour.
It is wonderful for me to know Mr. Kenzie’s daughter, as I can see the goodness of him, through her heart.
Take the time, and listen to every World War II veteran you can. Listen to their stories and discover the true meaning and very essence of Patriotism.
If you are reading this, then you are the movement.
Post Script Muse
There is a wonderful Christian artist, Nichole Nordman, who sings a song entitled “What If?” One lyric in the song goes “What if there is hope you never dreamed of hoping for?”
In America, we have eternal hope, through Patriotism, that our nation will ascend. That ascension is the blanket of freedom. “V” is for “Victory” my countrymen.
